A Message From Keith

“The Taul family has farming and entrepreneurial roots that run deep in Hardin County. I’m an eighth-generation farmer who has grown up serving this community. My wife and I have given this opportunity a great deal of thought and prayer – and I look forward to the chance at serving as your next Judge Executive.

More than anything, I’m ready to help protect our community and way of life. I am guided by conservative, Christian values and I am 100% pro-life. If elected, I’ll fight tooth and nail to get our residents’ voices heard on our important issues!

For the past 35 years, I have worked to help organizations run more smoothly and cut overspending. I believe my diverse background has equipped me with the experience and connections I’ll need to capitalize on the growth happening across Hardin County and at Fort Knox.

Our residents have a lot to be proud of and even more to look forward to. I humbly ask for your support as I connect with our local families. Thank you for paying attention to the future of Hardin County!”

Hardin County Farming Roots

An eighth-generation farmer, Keith Taul grew up on his father’s dairy farm in Hardin County. The eldest of three children, Keith spent his youth working the family farm and agriculture equipment business, Taul Equipment.

Upon graduation from West Hardin High School, Keith started attending classes at Elizabethtown Community College (ECC). It was here that Keith discovered his passion for engineering. He transferred to the University of Kentucky, graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering.

Keith landed his first engineering job in Chicago, working at International Harvester. He then moved to Somerset, KY, to work for GE, before returning to Hardin County in 1988. Back home, Keith was part of the initial start-up of the AP Technoglass plant in Elizabethtown (now AGC Automotive).

Economic & Workforce Development

Keith Taul has spent the past 35 years saving manufacturing companies millions of dollars. A shrewd business consultant, Keith has a knack for cutting wasteful spending and has improved the bottom line of each organization he has helped lead. More recently, Keith worked at a large, foam company as Director of Continuous Improvement. In this role, he developed cost-saving strategies for 20 manufacturing plants throughout the United States.

Keith is certified to create, train and implement improvement strategies for organizations utilizing what is called the “Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt” Certification. Since his certification over 20 years ago, Keith has worked with company executives and stakeholders to determine specific goals and lead thousands of improvement teams toward reaching those goals. Keith is also involved with Workforce Solutions at ECTC and hopes to help train the next generation of local business leaders.

Faith & Family Life

Keith and his wife, Megan, have been married for 38 years. They made the decision to raise their 4 children on Keith’s family farm and they are so thankful they did. Blessed with 8 grandchildren today, Keith and Megan run a certified organic hay farm, an e-commerce business for small pets, and they manage rental properties.

Keith has also served as an elder for over 20 years at Grace Heartland Church, CrossPoint Church and currently at Crossroads Baptist Church.
